About
Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU in the United States Virgin Islands.
Members of the media are invited to cover and photograph the University of the Virgin Islands’ Childcare and Diagnostic Center ribbon cutting ceremony on March 23, at 10 a.m. on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix.
The new facility is intended to enhance the educational experience of preservice teachers who will be supervised by professors as part of their studies – while supporting the University’s students and employees to better manage the challenges of balancing parenthood and college life.
University President Dr. David Hall and Dean of the School of Education, Dr. Karen Brown, will be on hand. There will be a short tour of the facility after the ribbon cutting.
